Ricardo holds over 20 years of experience in Media planning, negotiation and buying at some of the biggest agencies in Brazil, such as McCann (IPG), Dentsu (DAN), Africa (ABC) and Fischer America (Independent). Throughout his career, Ricardo has worked with clients in different sectors including Kraft/Mondelez, Toyota, General Motors, Mitsubishi, Philips and Femsa/Coca-Cola.
Ricardo has a BS in Advertising from Universidade Paulista, Brazil and several specialization courses such as Design Thinking from Berkeley-Haas School of Business in California and Media Negotiation courses at the Sao Paulo Media Group.
Moving from the agency to the client side in 2018, Ricardo Joined J&J in 2018, supporting Media, Agencies and GSI in LATAM as the Procurement Regional leader for these categories, bringing his expertise in the Media and Creative Agency space, Ricardo led several initiatives which evolved the ways-of-working in those categories, including leading negotiations with Media Power Partners in Brazil. This enabled Procurement to gain a distinct value proposition and importance with Marketing stakeholders, improving historical savings and delivering commercial agreements with an array of value-add services.
Since 2021 Ricardo leads the Media category at J&J, and now Kenvue, as the Global Category Leader working out of Kenvue’s HQ in Skillman, NJ. Ricardo oversees the relationship with Kenvue’s Media Agencies and partners while developing strategies to leverage Media investments into growth for all Kenvue’s brands.
